About the Opportunity
Eriez Flotation Peru is seeking for an experienced Process Manager with strong skills in supervision, process engineering, test work management, and commissioning/operational support experience in froth flotation and mineral processing operations.Working with a small, high-performing team in our Lima office, and through strong collaboration with other Eriez offices globally.
Requirements
In this role, you will undertake the following duties, including but not limited to:
- Lead and guide a team of 5 – 6 Process Engineers/Metallurgists/Process Technicians to ensure the achievement of quality, productivity and timely completions of tasks.
- Checking and reviewing work performed by members of the process team and managing the allocation of work within the team.
- Proactive contribution to business development activities including client meetings, technical presentations at professional conferences and/or events.
- Provide mentoring, leadership and professional development to the process team.
- Develop, review and implement Workflow Processes and Procedures.
- Direct involvement in the development, management, and interpretation of the laboratory / Piloting Metallurgical Test Work Program. Participate in test work at laboratory and customer sites, as necessary.
- Writing and reviewing Test Work reporting, sales proposal technical content, business cases and technical whitepapers.
- Perform calculations related to equipment sizing and process design in response to commercial bid packages
- Provide Commissioning, Operation and Optimization support at clients’ site
- Resolving technical and process design challenges related to new delivery projects / Perform troubleshooting using root cause analysis principals to address process issues for equipment in operation
- Preparation and review of equipment datasheets, control philosophy or any other technical documentation as needed.
About you
To qualify, you must have a Metallurgical or Chemical engineering degree and more than 17 years of relevant experience in mineral processing research, engineering and/or operations. Able to travel within Peru and internationally up 30% - 50% of the time.
In addition, you must have knowledge, skills, or experience in the following:
- Strong operational and technical knowledge of flotation
- General knowledge about Laboratory and pilot scale test works
- Full proficiency in English (written, spoken and listening comprehension)
- Strong leadership skills, to include assigning tasks, working independently, and thriving in demanding situations.
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
